The Older Drivers Forum is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to help the older driver to stay mobile for as long as possible. They recommend the following courses.

Hampshire County Council Driver Skills Scheme is an appraisal scheme for Hampshire residents. The appraisal takes place from your own home using your own car and is delivered by Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Approved Driving Instructors who have a good understanding of the needs of experienced drivers.

Wessex DriveAbility is an independent charity and an accredited Mobility Centre based in Southampton with outreach locations in Salisbury, Basingstoke and the Isle of Wight. They can provide a 40 minute assessment with a Driving Advisor and/or an Occupational Therapist. The assessment costs £79.

The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service run a course consisting of a two hour theory session for groups which covers a fun Highway Code Quiz using voting handsets, updates on driving licences, medical conditions, speed limits, driver distractions, and general driving hints and tips as you get older.
Attached to this course is also a free one hour optional driving assessment.
